Q: How big will the puppy be when full grown?
A: There is is range depending on who the mother is. Most of our girls will mature to be 14-15 inches tall and 20-25 pounds. The boys will be 15-16 inches tall and can range from 25-35 pounds.
Q: Will the puppy be current on all vaccinations?
A: Yes, all of our babies are kept up to date on all vaccinations and dewormings. A vaccination record will accompany your puppy.
Q: Will the puppy be microchipped?
A: Because we try to keep the cost of our babies more affordable, we do not include the microchipping in the price. We are more than happy to have it done if you want to. We have had it done for a number of families and they paid an additional fee for the process.
Q: Will the puppy be started on potty training?
A: We do not start potty training our babies. The reason being they come to you at 8 weeks of age. The age of 8-12 weeks is the most important for you to bond with the puppy and is the best time for you to start the process of potty training. If we started them here on our schedule and our method it would only set them back it they had to switch schedules and methods in the middle of training.
Q: Do they do well living in an apartment?
A: As long as your schedule allows you to give them a couple of walks or a trip to the dog park everyday, they will do fine in an apartment or small living space.
Q: Do they bark alot like the Beagles?
A: This varies depending on each individual puppy's personality. By the age of 4-5 weeks I can tell you which ones will be more vocal and which ones are more quiet. Most of the time they are not as vocal as the Beagles are.
Q: Do they chew:
A: Like any breed of dogs, they will go through a puppy phase and chew. The best advice is to get an old sock and tie it in a knot. They will chew on one of these more than any toy you could buy.
Q: Do they shed?
A: Also, like any other breed, they will shed a bit. Their shedding in minimal due to their extreme short hair.
Q: Do we get to choose our own puppy?
A: Yes, you do get to choose your own puppy. If you are located out of state I will send you a number of pictures of the babies available. I will also send a very detailed description of each puppy's personality. I will ask what characteristics you prefer and try to match you with the perfect puppy.
